Didilya, the slavic love goddess, also known as Paparuda, and by a number of other names, is a mysterious figure. One half of a set of twins, Didilya is associated today with a folk ritual in Easter Europe where a young girl dresses in a grass skirt dances and sings through the streets of her village, getting showered with water by her neighbours. It is believed to have originated from a prayer to this goddess for rain. Didilya is associated with summer rain and the soft rumbling of distant thunder. It is believed that she is married to the god of Thunder, and when she milks her heavenly cows, it creates rain that nourishes the earth. Didilya is the bringer of spring, spreading greenery and decorating trees with blossoms. She is associated with the delight of the warm seasons of th spring and summer and with the fertility of the earth in the springtime, and the beauty of flowers.
Her shade is a deep, orangey coral, representing the heat of the changing seasons, the energy of growth and change and the vibrancy of new life.
This is a matte, loose blush in a warm medium-deep coral red shade. Moderately pigmented, but still sheer to allow natural beauty to shine through. This is a buildable pigment.
