Hanwi, the Goddess of the Moon in traditional Sioux mythology. Her name means the Night Sun, and she is the wife to Wi, the Sun God. She is a wanderer, shamed by her husband's choice to bring a mortal to a feast of the gods in her place. For this reason, she hides her face, giving us the phases of the lunar cycle. Her husband was punished by Skan, ruler of the Sky for this indiscretion, by forcing him to be separated from his wife - he was to rule over the day while she ruled over the night. She is the guardian of motherhood, femininity and familial love. It is said that Hanwi has the brightest light because she pierces through the darkness of night. She is a spirit of constancy and safety. We chose a warm pink blush with red undertones to represent the Night Sun - a nod to her bashfulness but also to her subtle beauty and her constant presence. This is one of our most natural flush shades.
This is a matte, loose blush in a warm medium pink shade. Moderately pigmented, but still sheer to allow natural beauty to shine through. This is a buildable pigment.
