Light That Endures

This smells amazing! It's a gorgeous fruity, fizzy scent that smells both sweet and fresh. It reminds me of a drink you'd buy at a national trust cafe in the summer. I cannot stress how good this is - I'm definitely going to buy a full size before my sample runs out. It is the perfect summer scent (though I do wish it wasn't a summer exclusive just because it's so good!)

Light That Endures opens with ginger - not the spicy, Christmas cookie kind, but the zesty smell of freshly-grated raw ginger root - and sweet, crisp apple. These notes make this blend sound like a festive winter fragrance in the making, but something about the overall briskness of the two, combined with the fizzy "sparkling accord", keep it well away from that territory and create something bubbly, almost citrusy.

On the drydown, soft, floral orange blossom, fuzzy suede and the light birch base create a golden woody finish - think haybales and chopped firewood, not oaky dark wood.

The way the notes balance here is truly something special. It's sweet but not overly so, woody in a comforting but not overpowering way, and bright without being noisily zesty. I think the name of this fragrance really fits!
