Lost in the Wood

I love birch! So I was hoping for a woody, maybe smoky fragrance with earthy undertones, accompanied by a romantic bouquet of purple florals.
Sadly I don’t get any of this. I‘d describe it as fresh, soapy and slightly aldehydic or waxy with a tang to it, that might be the elderflower. It reminds me of 80‘s style florals, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it’s just not what I expected.

Bought a sample size of this and…wow, I’m obsessed. Best way I can describe it… imagine being a little wood sprite who takes a rain shower underneath an old oak tree deep in the forest before running through a path of bluebells naked. That’s it! Clean, slightly woody, floral… can’t stop smelling my wrists. Immediately off to buy the full size!

This is definitely a fairy-tale scent and if you like shadowy figures who taunt you and lead you astray into the woods, than you might love this scent like I do.

I’m wary of most woody scents because they tend to go too sharp and bitter on me but I was intrigued by this scent because of the other notes that are in play. And I am so happy I decided to trust my intuition and buy this one. It definitely has a green woody vibe but it’s also very clean and beautifully nuanced. I can’t necessarily pick out each individual note but it’s like walking into the woods with all the floral notes used greeting you.

I have so many spring time floral scents and am a bit burned out with their lightness and overly lush vibes. This is a wonderful alternative to those type of perfumes… while still floral, it’s not a romantic and sweet perfume, rather it’s much more complex and interesting as you innocently go to pick out the fresh flowers and as the name of the perfume says, you get “Lost in the Wood” along the way. 🧚
