I admittedly have a type for winter, a really spicy smoky woody perfume. This perfume oil fits the bill perfectly while being unique among my other perfumes. This perfume opens with strong fresh spruce and die for me, but on the dry down I get cloves, cinnamon, smoke with the hint of the original wood notes and whispers of vanilla. It absolutely evokes sitting around the fire eating spiced cookies without being cloying or sweet. Although I don’t believe in perfume gendering as I think anyone can wear anything, this perfume is textbook unisex.
Without a doubt, this is my favorite Crow & Pebble scent. True to the site description, it is a festive scent perfect for the holiday scent: a little smokey, a little bit of pine, and a warm spice. It reminds me of pine logs in a fireplace. But I also really enjoy it even outside of the holidays. It's not so on the nose that it can only be worn in winter. It's my go to unique scent!
